My Journey

From modeling markets in a high-school finance class to shipping fintech used in 42 countries. Here's how each step led to the next, and what I took away from it.

2022

Oakwood Friends School

StudentSep 2022 – Jun 2026New York, NY

  • Rank 1 / 35
  • GPA 4.03
  • SAT 1580
  • Advanced Placement: Calculus BC (5), Macroeconomics (5), English Literature (5), Biology (5), Environmental Science (4).
  • Took Fractal Finance: Chaos Theory and Fintech, plus dual-enrollment Statistics & Calculus 1 (A+).

What I took away

Fractal Finance was the first time I saw markets as systems you can model, not numbers you memorize. That idea runs through almost everything I've built since.

Late 2024

Flowglad (YC W20)

Strategic Partner & Community ArchitectOct 2024 – Nov 2025New York, NY

  • 900+ founders
  • 3× event attendance
  • 60+ member partnerships
  • Partnered with Flowglad's co-founder to scale an update channel into a fintech mentorship network for 900+ founders.
  • Designed and ran AMAs, guest panels and 1-on-1 office hours, tripling event attendance.
  • Secured an official partnership with Supabase, launching two 2025 tech showcases that drove long-term partnerships for 60+ members.

What I took away

A community is a product: ship an event, watch who comes back, fix what didn't work. It's also where I learned to say plainly when something isn't working, even to a founder.

2025

Central Hudson Gas & Electric

Researcher & Innovation PresenterOct 2024 – Nov 2025New York, NY

  • Future Innovator Award
  • $20B+ crisis analyzed
  • Analyzed a $20B+ national utility-arrears crisis, forecasting Central Hudson's 2025–2030 consumer-debt exposure.
  • Built an AI-powered forecasting model and developed three fintech solutions to make utility payments more affordable and reliable.
  • Presented financial frameworks and product recommendations directly to the Board of Directors.

What I took away

A forecast only matters if the people in the room can act on it. Presenting to a board taught me to lead with the decision, then show the math.

Early 2026

The Regret Calculator

Founder & BuilderFeb 2026 – Present

  • 10K+ users
  • 42 countries
  • 4 months
  • Built and launched RegretCalculator.net, a web tool that turns everyday spending into personalized long-term opportunity-cost projections.
  • Reached 10K+ users across 42 countries within four months of launch, using Next.js and Chart.js for interactive financial visualizations.

What I took away

The first thing I built entirely for strangers. Real usage taught me more than any plan: the moment two lines split apart on a chart is what makes the idea land.

Spring 2026

Exo Imaging

AI Strategy & Analytics InternMar 2026 – May 2026Alberta, Canada

  • 15% projected cost reduction
  • 15+ teammates onboarded
  • Co-developed a predictive Python model with PhD mentors to evaluate commercial expansion paths for the Exo Iris.
  • Identified a projected 15% reduction in Exo Iris deployment costs by analyzing historical launch data.
  • Led an Exo Works platform rollout, training 15+ team members and driving adoption across the organization.

What I took away

Working next to PhDs raised my bar for rigor: every assumption in a model has to survive someone asking "why?". It also taught me to listen first and iterate without ego.

2026

Beyond the screen

Honors & awards2025 – 2026

  • USAPhO Qualifier: top 440 nationwide finalists from the F=ma physics screening exam.
  • BOSMUN XXV Outstanding Delegate: out-negotiated a 180+ person DISEC assembly as a solo delegate, and was primary sponsor of a multinational anti-terror resolution with P5 backing.
  • ALC International Beatbox Championship finalist: top 8 (1.5%) of 500+ vocal percussionists; competing in the 2027 world bracket.
  • AI Scouts Global Ambassador Award (1 of 10 selected from 1,500+) and the Central Hudson Future Innovator Award (2025).

What I took away

Different arenas, same habit: prepare harder than the room expects, then improvise when it counts.

Summer 2026

NYU Stern & OpenReplay

Breakthrough Scholar · BuilderJun 2026 – PresentNew York, NY

  • 1 of 25 full-ride scholars
  • Finance & AI, Computing and Data Science
  • B.S. in Business at NYU Stern (expected May 2030), in the Breakthrough Scholars Leadership Program; Principles of Financial Accounting (Summer 2026) and NYU Project Outreach community service.
  • Building OpenReplay (listed as OpenRewind on my resume): an open-source platform for replaying historical markets and testing strategies without paid subscriptions.
  • C++20 backend and React interface for market replay, trade execution and performance analysis, with controls designed for Orion, an AI agent that analyzes backtests from plain-English prompts.

What I took away

Everything so far in one place: the modeling from finance, the product instincts from the Regret Calculator and the rigor from Exo, now pointed at a tool I wish I'd had.
